Students went to several different places today...
- Went to the GRB to discuss cloning with Dr. Shamoo: perceptions, ethics, science behind it
- Next to Ryon computer lab to work on college essays with Dr. Messmer
- GRB again to have lunch with mentors
- Then the Houston Museum of Natural Science and given presentations by the EcoTeens
- Finally ended up at the BRC, Keck, Bio, or Ryon lab to work with mentors in laboratory

June 23rd - Chromatography-Chemistry-Brain Lab
Students had another full day
- Started off with a chromatography lab both using paper and T-shirts
- Went on to Dr. McHale's Magic Chemistry Show
- Then traveled to Baylor College of Medicine to go to gross anatomy lab to discuss different parts of the brain
- Then returned to Rice for a discussion of robotics at Dr. O'Malley's lab

June 22nd - Hypothesis, DNA & Microscopy
Another full day
- Students started off the day with formulating and testing hypotheses activity
- Then continued with analysis of college essays with Dr. Messmer
- Finished off the DNA activity with Dr. Beason by running an electrophoresis of their DNA sample in a gel
- After lunch, the students attended a presentation by Dr. West in which she discussed the difference between science and engineering along with the current research in her lab
- Students ended the day in the Rudgers lab where Marcus and Liz discussed their research involving plants.

June 21st - IBB Summer Camp
1st day of IBB Summer camp started with a breakfast
Lots of activities planned for today
- Students met mentors at the Welcome breakfast and discussed the mentors' path to college and their experiences
- Students attended a Communications workshop with Dr. Messmer to discuss college essays
- Students went through an admissions info session and then went on a campus tour
- Students had lunch with Dr. Forman, Dean of Undergrads, to discuss college life
- Students attended a DNA demo in which they collected plasmid DNA
- Students met with mentors to go to their labs
