Students attended several presentations:
- The day started with the Communications workshop provided by Dr. David Messmer. He discussed the relevant items that should be part of the college essays students will prepare.
- Secondly, the students attended an admissions info session presented by Brandon Mack. He showed the different aspects of Rice University along with the requirements needed to apply and financial aspects for attending Rice.

- During lunch, Dr. Forman, Dean of Undergrads, provided more information about the requirements for Rice University, the culture of Rice, and the expectations. Dr. Forman answered all types of student questions from financial aspects to types of majors.
- After lunch, students attended a safety training, a requirement since they will be working in the lab.
